A storm builds: how I work
In the natural world, variations in atmospheric air pressure set the conditions for a storm. In most cases, a storm develops where a centre of low pressure is surrounded by high pressure.
This reflects the way I tend to work in this chaotic world. So, following nature’s lead, I have designed a five stage process to develop urgent ideas into crisp, refreshing storytelling and design…
Storm warning
Initial contact is made and I start the discovery process.
Calm before the storm
A period of reflection and some shared forward planning.
Clouds build overhead
I sketch, draft, wireframe and prototype.
The maelstrom
A creative storm is unleashed. I ‘go dark’ for a while.
After the storm
In the aftermath, I share the fruits of my labour.
